After 29 rounds, Mateo Retegui is the best Italian player in Serie A, followed by Nicolò Barella and Moise Kean.
Fantacalcio.it has updated its ranking of the best players in Serie A, and Football Italia takes a look at the best Italian performers after 29 league games.
Mateo Retegui is the third-best overall performer in Serie A and the best Italian player so far this season.
The 25-year-old has netted 22 goals in 27 league games and is the current leading scorer in Serie A.

He is naturally part of the Azzurri squad that will face Germany in the Nations League quarter-finals this week.
Eight of the top 10 Italian performers in Serie A have also been called up for games against the Germans. The only two players remaining are two goalkeepers: Monza’s Stefano Turati and Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi.
Spalletti has called up Gigio Donnarumma, Guglielmo Vicario and Alex Meret for upcoming international games.
