Marcus Thuram and Nicolò Barella are the top Serie A performers in the opening 18 rounds, followed by Fiorentina’s David de Gea.

Serie A Round 18 is in the history books, and Fantacalcio provides the top 10 performers in the league so far.

The ratings are generated by average player ratings from Italian sports papers, considering footballers with at least 50% of appearances.

Thuram, the current Serie A leading scorer, has the highest rating so far – 6,65 – slightly above his teammate Barella and Fiorentina keeper De Gea.

Inter dominate the top 10 rankings. Not only do they have four stars, but even a player out on loan – Filip Stankovic – is among the top performers.

There’s a third goalkeeper in the top 10: Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, while Como’s Nico Paz ranks fifth below Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman.

Paz is a product of the Real Madrid academy, and the Merengues’ boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has recently called him the “future” of the La Liga giants.
