Tottenham Hotspur head to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Friday evening.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have endured a torrid Premier League campaign and are winless in five league games.
Defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend was their 20th of the Premier League season and leaves Spurs 17th in the table. The club’s season hinges on next week’s Europa League final against Manchester United. Victory in Bilbao would end a 17-year trophy drought and seal Champions League qualification.
Aston Villa are pushing to secure Champions League football through their league finish. Unai Emery’s team are sixth in the table, outside the qualification places on goal difference. The Villans are one of the form teams in the division, winning eight of their last nine.
Ange Postecoglou has a headache in midfield after Dejan Kulusevski joined James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall on the sidelines. A knee injury has required surgery, ending Kulusevski’s campaign.
The midfield trio join long-term absentee Radu Dragusin on the sidelines. Dragusin is currently recovering from an ACL injury.
Tottenham predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr; Odobert, Richarlison, Son.
Aston Villa host Tottenham in the Premier League on Friday 16th May 2025. Kick-off at Villa Park is 19:30 BST.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur will be available to watch on Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Go UK and NOW UK.
