Tottenham host Wolves this weekend in a contest that will be both team’s last match of 2024.
Spurs fell to another slender defeat on their travels on Boxing Day as they lost 1-0 to high-flying Nottingham Forest.
There is a high likelihood that Ange Postecoglou will be without any senior centre-backs this weekend. Radu Dragusin was forced off against Forest, while Ben Davies has suffered a setback from a muscular injury and faces another few weeks out. Djed Spence is also unavailable after he received a red card on Boxing Day against his former club.
The arrival of manager Vitor Pereira has given Wolves an injection of belief as they dispatched Manchester United in a 2-0 win.
Matheus Cunha remains up for selection despite FA discussions over a potential ban after the unsavoury scenes against Ipswich Town. Mario Lemina and Pablo Sarabia are both expected to remain on the sidelines.

Tottenham’s troubles continued on Boxing Day after they lost out to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest.
The former Spurs manager masterminded the Tricky Trees to another victory courtesy of a first-half finish from Anthony Elanga.
Ange Postecoglou’s side dominated possession, but couldn’t translate that into an equaliser.
That defeat means the Lilywhites lie in 11th position and are currently closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top four. They will be aiming to end a testing year with a first league win at home since the start of November.

Wolves have truly profited from the ‘new manager bounce’ of Vitor Pereira.
The Portuguese could not have dreamed of a better start. A 3-0 dismantling of fellow strugglers Leicester City preceded an accomplished victory over Manchester United.
Against the latter, Matheus Cunha scored directly from a corner before Hwang Hee-Chan finished a brisk counterattack in stoppage time.
That three points on Boxing Day saw them climb outside of the relegation spots and they now sit one point above Leicester. The Old Gold will have full belief that they can record a third successive league win for the first time in nearly a year.
A Joao Gomes brace inflicted a tough home defeat on Tottenham in the last meeting.
Wolves started brightly and almost opened the scoring through Hwang Hee-Chan but the South Korean’s awkward close-range effort flew over the crossbar.
A few minutes before the break, Gary O’Neil’s side broke the deadlock through an unlikely source. Gomes was left completely unmarked from a corner and accurately diverted a header into the corner.
An incensed Ange Postecoglou’s half-time team talk had the desired effect as it took his team less than 40 seconds of the restart to restore parity. Dejan Kulusevski neatly raced down the by-line before poking an effort beyond Jose Sa from an acute angle.
But Wolves continued to provide a threat and regained their advantage following a blistering counter-attack from a Spurs corner.
Pedro Neto carried the ball over 60 yards before teeing up Gomes who swept in his and Wolves’ second of the afternoon.
The visitors almost repeated their second with Tottenham committing players forward but Emerson Royal smartly blocked Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s attempt.
Ben Davies completely miscued a header late on for Spurs as Wolves returned to the Black Country with the points.
