Tottenham’s injury woes have reached new heights, with Destiny Udogie being the latest casualty in what has become a gruelling season for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The Italian full-back was forced off the pitch during their clash against Wolves, adding another name to an already extensive injury list.

With key players already sidelined, Udogie’s departure could not have come at a worse time for Spurs.

The team is navigating a packed schedule, with each new setback pushing their squad depth to its limits.

With another player forced to leave the pitch, concerns about their resilience and long-term prospects continue to grow.

While the Lilywhites are fighting to maintain their strong start to the season, their growing list of absentees threatens to derail their progress, raising concerns about how Postecoglou plans to tackle this crisis.

Destiny Udogie was substituted during the second half against Wolves after appearing to clutch his hamstring, raising immediate concerns about his fitness.

According to Football London, the boss said: "Yeah, I think it was a hamstring. Again like I said, we've been relying on a core group of players because we just haven't had the ability to rotate so at some point it was going to catch up with us. Unfortunately it caught up with Destiny."

His exit marked another blow to a defence already stretched thin, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both unavailable due to injuries.

Sergio Reguilon, who has seen limited game time this season, was brought on to replace Udogie, highlighting the lack of options at Postecoglou’s disposal.

The injury compounds Tottenham’s defensive issues, with Ben Davies also out, leaving Spurs scrambling for solutions.

Injury crisis could shape Tottenham’s season

In addition to their defensive struggles, Tottenham’s attacking unit had its share of misfortune during the match.

Heung-min Son missed a first-half penalty, with Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa producing a fine save. Spurs managed to maintain a 2-1 lead thanks to goals from Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson, but their captain’s form will undoubtedly raise eyebrows.

The list of sidelined players is a growing concern for Spurs. Alongside Udogie, Romero, Van de Ven, and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, the team is also missing key contributors like Richarlison and Wilson Odobert.

Such absences test the depth of any squad, and Tottenham’s challenging fixture schedule offers little relief.

Postecoglou will need to navigate this period carefully, ensuring that his team can remain competitive despite the odds.
