The name of defender Huijsen has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital across the week to date.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Real Madrid had agreed to pay the 20-year-old’s release clause at Bournemouth.

This represents Los Blancos’ 2nd defender deal with a view to next season, with an agreement over the free agent signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold having long been tied up, too.
