Tudor said Vlahovic better than Osimhen and Juventus have ‘best defender in the world’ | OneFootball

Igor Tudor is expected to replace Thiago Motta at Juventus, and the Croatian tactician has already expressed strong opinions on two Bianconeri players: Dusan Vlahovic and Gleison Bremer.

Juventus are set to sack their coach, Thiago Motta, and replace him with their ex-defender Tudor, a former coach for Udinese, Hellas Verona and Lazio.

Tudor will be tasked with getting a top-four finish in Serie A and has already explained his stance on two Juventus players, Vlahovic and Bremer.

Back in 2022, when he was in charge of Verona, he was asked whether Victor Osimhen was the best striker in Serie A, but he replied: “No, he’s a strong player, but the strongest is Vlahovic. He’s one of the best.”

Vlahovic is Juventus’ best scorer this season, but he’s lost his starting spot at the Allianz Stadium since January when the Bianconeri signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG.

Vlahovic has scored 14 goals in 34 matches this term and has only started one Serie A game in 2025.

Brazilian defender Bremer is another player Tudor thinks very highly of.

Last season, before a Lazio home game against Juventus, Tudor tried to motivate Biancocelesti striker Taty Castellanos by telling him, “Look, on the other side there is a defender who I think is the best in the world. Is there anything better than playing against the best in the world? No, there isn’t.”

Tudor, however, is unlikely to rely on Bremer this season. The Brazilian centre-back is recovering from a knee injury and is not expected to return to action before the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
