Ivan Juric has insisted Tyler Dibling prefer a club where he can fetch regular playing time, instead of getting swayed away by transfer rumours.
For every St. Mary's faithful, Southampton's upcoming Tottenham matchday is very important. But while the common dream follows keeper Ramsdale's plan, some Saints would have special reasons to shine here.
It's easy to guess, right? Yes, Southampton's prodigy duo, Tyler Dibling and Harwood-Bellis. And the reason's quite clear, their recent Tottenham links.
Still, despite both auditioning for a hefty Spurs' move, their cases feel sharply different. This is because while Harwood-Bellis has been a consistent performer whenever available, Dibling's performances have lost ground lately.
Thus, it feels like the ultimate audition for 19-year-old Dibling, who hasn't been his usual self after recovering from a winter injury.
But here, hat's off to Southampton, who are subtly staging Dibling for a high-value move with some clever planning. We’ve already seen the club’s clever groundwork in promoting Dibling’s move, but their recent move feels even more calculated.
For Dibling, who played rarely against Crystal Palace this week, this Tottenham test comes with a ton of pressure. But helping him handle that pressure is some timely advice from boss Juric.
Recently, ahead of the London trip, Juric delivered a relieving tip for Dibling's future move. As quoted by the Daily Echo, Juric said: "I think what is best for him, and for everybody, is to choose the team, stay here or choose the team where he can play 30 games, 35 games."
Now, until you dig deep, you might miss the magic these words can do for Southampton's situation.
Interestingly, while they back Dibling, taking off the unnecessary pressure to perform against Tottenham, this comment also embodies in the youngster, a compelling reason to consider staying put at Southampton, at least a bit further.
Well, fair play to Southampton, they’ve done their part. Now it’s over to Dibling to show what he can bring up for the club performing against the Spurs.
