Rafael Leao got on the scoresheet in Portugal’s 5-1 trashing of Poland last night, showcasing his abilities throughout the game in the best way possible.
Leao has certainly been in tremendous form over the last few weeks, bagging an assist against Real Madrid – after a great performance – and scoring a brace against Cagliari. Yesterday, he followed that up with a very nice goal for Portugal.
Playing from start in the penultimate Nations League clash, Leao opened the scoring in the 59th minute after a great run and header. In addition to this, he played really well and finally showcased what he’s capable of with the national team as well.
Seeing as Leao’s goal opened the scoring in the 59th minute, it’s rather crazy that the game ended 5-1. A goal fest in the second half, to say the least, and it’s even better that the Milan winger was the one to open the floodgates.
Milan will be up against Juventus next and will need their No.10 in great form to clinch the three points. If the last few games are anything to go by, Paulo Fonseca should be rather confident in the winger’s abilities.
