Paris Saint-Germain are considering several options to strengthen their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán emerging as a potential target.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed PSG’s ongoing interest in Durán, although negotiations could be challenging due to Villa’s £80 million valuation. This high price tag reflects Durán’s strong form and his recent contract extension, with Villa only open to selling for a substantial offer.
PSG are reportedly exploring the possibility of including Randal Kolo Muani or Marco Asensio in the deal, as they believe Durán’s value is around £25 million lower than Villa’s asking price.

L’Équipe reports that Durán will not be joining PSG this winter. Initial discussions surrounding the player are instead focused on the upcoming summer transfer window, suggesting that the club will be looking to sign a new attacking player.
Despite PSG’s interest in Durán, TBR Football reported on Monday that West Ham United made a bid for the Colombian forward, according to sources. The Hammers are looking to bolster their attack this month, prompting them to submit an offer for Durán last week.
However, Aston Villa turned down West Ham’s bid, which fell well short of the amount needed to secure Durán’s transfer. The report also notes that although a new offer was made, it was still “miles away” from Villa’s valuation.
