West Ham United are set to put one of their top targets for this window through his medical this afternoon before he joins the Irons.

The London club have been plagued with injuries in their attacking line and have been looking to bring strikers in.

Graham Potter’s side identified a host of frontmen across Europe as possibilities and were offered many more by agents.

Brighton’s Evan Ferguson became a very popular name around the Hammers; Potter coached him at the Seagulls.

And now it has been suggested that the Premier League clubs have agreed on the Irish forward’s switch to London.

According to Sky Sports News, the 20-year-old will have his medical tests before joining Potter’s side.

Ferguson will join the Hammers on a simple loan deal until the end of the current campaign.

Seagulls will keep an eye on his game time as he has clocked only 390 minutes of football in all competitions this term.
