La Liga giants Real Madrid could yet have Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold at their disposal for the upcoming Club World Cup.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
It is of course common knowledge at this point that defender Alexander-Arnold is all set to take his talents to Spain’s capital this summer.
Having allowed his contract terms with Liverpool to run down, the England international is at any moment expected to announce an agreement with the aforementioned Real Madrid.
As things stand, Alexander-Arnold would then be free to take to the pitch in Blancos colours beginning July 1st, upon the official expiration of his terms with Liverpool.
The brass at the Santiago Bernabéu , though, are keen to bring ‘TAA’ in before this date. In fact, Real would like to have the right-back at their disposal for the upcoming Club World Cup.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then as much does not appear to be outside the realms of reality.
As per a report from Diario AS, should the reigning Spanish champions agree to a couple of conditions set out by Liverpool, the transfer could be fast-tracked to early June.
The conditions in question would see Real Madrid forced to fork over a sum in the region of €1 million.
In addition, Alexander-Arnold would need to forfeit the wages owed to him by Liverpool for the month of June.
