The upcoming La Liga meeting between Sevilla and Real Madrid could be kicked into gear without a single home fan in attendance.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.

Sevilla are set to play host to Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid later this evening, as part of the penultimate round of fixtures of the season in Spain’s top-flight.

Sevilla’s supporters have staged a series of recent protests against their club, nothing short of disgusted with the level of performance put forth by their side over the course of the campaign.

And the latest protest, it would appear, could well be forthcoming on Sunday night…

As per MD:

‘The Biris have called for a protest with the initiative of not entering the stadium until the second half. This initiative has been supported by other groups such as the Federation of Sevilla San Fernando Supporters’ Clubs and United Shareholders, which brings together small shareholders.’

Should these groups have their way, the first-half at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán will therefore have no home support in the stands.
