Xavi responds to Barcelona’s Copa del Rey final victory over Real Madrid | OneFootball

Former Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has taken to social media, to provide his response to the club’s latest silverware haul.

Barcelona, of course, are fresh off keeping alive what has been a spectacular campaign to date.

Still in the running for a historic treble, the Blaugrana made the trip to Seville on Saturday night, for a Copa del Rey final showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid.

When all was said and done, for the third time this season, Hansi Flick’s troops proved too much for Real, emerging on the right side of a 3-2 result following extra-time.

And quick to make clear his delight with such developments in the game’s aftermath was the aforementioned Xavi.

Making clear that he bears Barcelona no ill will following his dismissal as manager last summer, the Spaniard took to his official Instagram account, to write:

“Whatever they say, we are the BEST CLUB in the world. Visça Barça always!”
