FC Barcelona have not had any time to actually drink in their incredible victory over Real Madrid. A Copa del Rey match against Real Betis is on the horizon and set to take place tomorrow, meaning Hansi Flick would have already started preparing for the game.

In a way, it’s good for the team not to rest on their laurels. Let’s be honest—as happy as everyone was to see Barcelona thrash their way past Real Madrid to the title, this isn’t the trophy that is the club’s priority, and they need to continue working.

The more a team starts tasting success, the more they will start craving for the same. This is exactly what the Barcelona team needs to follow and tomorrow’s game against Betis is an important encounter in their bid for the Copa del Rey trophy.

One player who is currently injured and won’t be available for selection for the next 8-9 games is Inigo Martinez, who has been in superb form so far this season. It is a huge blow for Hansi Flick. However, one other player could be set to return.

As per SPORT, 28-year-old star Andreas Christensen is training with the group as he awaits his medical green light. The Dane is closer than ever to returning and it is only a matter of time before he features for Barcelona again.

Christensen has featured only in one game so far this season – the La Liga opener after which he has been out with an injury. His absence helped Barcelona register their summer signings temporarily but now, they need the Dane more than ever.

With Inigo’s injury and Ronald Araujo’s far-from-certain future, Christensen becomes very important in the scheme of things. Let’s not forget, the 28-year-old was one of the better players for the club in the past couple of seasons.

Hansi Flick will be counting on Christensen going forward. However, one has to be careful considering he is returning from a long-term injury. Let’s wait and see how the Dane’s career at Barcelona plays out going forward.
