A quartet of first-team members at La Liga outfit Girona are set to miss the club’s upcoming showdown with city rivals Barcelona.

That’s according to Esport3, who have provided an insight into the latest on the personnel situation in Míchel’s squad.

Girona are primed to mark their return to action on the back of the international break on March 30th.

A daunting meeting with table-topping Barcelona lies in wait, at Montjuïc.

As alluded to above, though, in efforts to spring a surprise on their heavily-favoured neighbours in the clash, the Blanquivermells will be forced to make do without the contributions of four important players.

As per Esport3, both Bryan Gil and Iván Martín will sit out the fixture owing to respective injury problems.

Donny van de Beek, meanwhile, will be unavailable for selection through suspension, whilst fellow midfielder Oriol Romeu will not be permitted to line out against his parent club as part of the terms of his loan.
