Vancouver Whitecaps are one of the biggest stories across the 2025 MLS season, and in large part, they have lead striker Brian White to thank for that.
Jesper Sørensen's outfit currently sits atop both the Western Conference and the Supporters' Shield table on 23 points, comfortably ahead of the Portland Timbers in the West, and with FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew hot on their heels overall.
Having tasted defeat just once in the opening ten league fixtures while posting a 7-1-2 record while also sitting on a joint MLS-leading 20 goals scored, the 29-year-old White is on course to smash his MLS single-season best of 15 goals, which he achieved both in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
Currently on six goals in eight appearances and among the Golden Boot conversation alongside Hugo Cuypers (Chicago Fire), Tai Baribo (Philadelphia Union), Evander (FC Cincinnati), and Alonso Martínez (NYCFC), White justifiably picked up the MLS April Player of the Month award.
Here's a rundown of how White and Vancouver got on across all the action in April
Moreover, White has officially passed Vancouver legend Carl Valentine on the all-time goals list, climbing to within 12 goals of Jason Jordan in the process.
With the club now on their way to a Concacaf Champions Cup final as well, there could be shouts for White to truly be given the keys to the USMNT's attack under Mauricio Pochettino.
And it would be hard to argue against that.
