Lazio midfielder Nicolo Rovella has no plans to leave the club anytime soon, confirms his agent Beppe Riso.

The Background

The 23-year-old signed for the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2023 on a two-year loan from Juventus with an obligation to buy which Lazio will certainly be happy to activate at the end of the season. After all, the Italy international should cost them circa €20 million while his market value may have reached €60 million.

EPL suitors

In recent months, Manchester City and Liverpool both reportedly enquired about Rovella’s availability as they look to bolster their respective midfield departments for next season. In his interview with La Repubblica (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Riso confirmed his client has indeed attracted interest from the Premier League, albeit without naming any clubs in particular.

Nicolo Rovella Likely to Stay at Lazio

Nevertheless, the agent believes an exit remains implausible at this stage since both Lazio and Rovella are keen to extend their collaboration, especially the player who swiftly fell in love with the Italian capital side upon his arrival.

Rovella has had more than one important offer from the Premier League, but I won’t tell you which teams. I’m not surprised, there are only a few young deep-lying playmakers who are at his level across Europe. But it won’t be easy to prise him away, for at least two reasons. First, it’s always tough to negotiate with [Lazio president Claudio] Lotito. And second, Nicolo loves Lazio like crazy, he’s really happy at the club. He doesn’t see anything else. He’s truly a Laziale.

This season, the Genoa youth product has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing with a couple of assists.
