The future of Vinicius Jr. came into the spotlight almost moments after he was snubbed from the Ballon d’Or trophy.

Contrary to what many people were expecting, Rodri was handed the prestigious trophy, leading to massive resentment from Real Madrid and Vinicius.

It even led many to believe that Vinicius may finally start considering an offer from Saudi Arabia, who had already enticed him last summer with a blockbuster deal.

Saudi Arabia’s latest attempt at Vinicius

Now, a recent report from Ben Jacobs suggests Saudi Arabia is ready to have another swipe at Vinicius Jr. by offering him a new deal.

As per the report, Saudi Arabia is ready to cough up €350 million in order to prize the Brazilian international away from Real Madrid next summer.

Al Ahli have been chosen as the club to accomodate Vinicius. This is largely due to the fact that the likes of Al Nassr (Cristiano Ronaldo), Al Hilal (Neymar) and Al Ittihad (Karim Benzema) already have elite stars in their ranks.

Although there are already a number of stars that currently ply their trade for Al Ahli, Saudi Arabian governement believes there is room for one more star.

That is where Vinicius Jr. comes into the fray. The Brazilian could bring significant star power to the league, especially given the fact that he is currently in the peak of his career, unlike Neymar, Ronaldo or Benzema.

Although Saudi Arabia has no desire to match Vinicius Jr. hefty €1 billion release clause, they are considering coughing up €350 million, which would make the Real Madrid star the most expensive player in the history of football.

Neymar currently holds that tag when he joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for a fee of €222 million.

Saudi Arabia’s idea is to make an offer that entices Real Madrid just enough so that the club actually start considering the possibility of offloading the Brazilian.
