Amorim told to revive ‘amazing’ Man Utd star who would ‘absolutely’ thrive in his system

Ruben Amorim has been advised to bring Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United as the latter would be able to fill in seamlessly in this tactical system.
The Red Devils splashed the cash on the 24-year-old back in 2021 when he was deemed one of the best rising stars on the planet thanks to his exploits at Borussia Dortmund. However, the winger endured three miserable campaigns at Carrington, especially last season when tensions between him and his former manager Erik ten Hag reached their boiling point.
The two men eventually reconciled in pre-season following the player’s brief loan stint at Dortmund, but a breakup was still considered the best solution. Sancho thus joined Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

In recent weeks, reports revealed the Blues are working on finding a loophole in their agreement with Man Utd which allows them to cancel this obligation and subsequently return the player to Old Trafford. That is mainly due to the Englishman’s uninspiring displays as of late.
But while this scenario remains doubtful, Dan Micciche, who coached Sancho in England’s youth setup, believes this wouldn’t necessarily be a terrible outcome for the Red Devils, arguing the player would be able to find himself in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.
“Jadon would have to play as a left-sided No.10, I couldn’t see him play as a wing-back,” said Micciche via The Mirror.
“Can he play there? Yeah, absolutely. I think he could play for Ruben Amorim in his system. It might actually suit him more – in terms of freeing him up. He wouldn’t be hugging the touchline as much, he would play in the middle of the pitch more and would have more options when he gets the ball.”
Nevertheless, it should be noted that Sancho has been burning the bridges with United as of late. For instance, his ‘freedom’ comment upon Marcus Rashford’s Aston Villa debut left a sour taste in many people’s mouths.
