Real Madrid are gearing up for a crucial final phase of the campaign after their impressive 6-3 aggregate victory over Manchester City secured their place in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
However, given the ongoing injury crisis, maintaining top form and recovering key players will be crucial for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
According to MARCA, one of Ancelotti’s key goals ahead of the final phase of the campaign is to recover the best form of Eduardo Camavinga.
After initially being tipped for a bigger role in midfield, particularly after Toni Kroos’ retirement last summer, Camavinga has struggled to establish himself.
Instead of cementing his spot, he has found himself behind Dani Ceballos in the pecking order, which is quite surprising given how the Spaniard was linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu last year.

Camavinga has indeed endured a frustrating season. First of all, his missed the start of the season due to a injury, which was followed by two more injuries during the course of the campaign.
In addition to injuries, Camavinga has also struggled with form. His performances have been far from ideal, with the midfielder often lacking consistency and concentration, regardless of the position he plays.
With Madrid still competing on multiple fronts, Ancelotti is keen to bring Camavinga back to his best.
A fully fit and in-form Camavinga could be a decisive factor in Real Madrid’s push for silverware, especially considering how the Frenchman can operate in both defence and midfield.
