Barcelona, for the first time this season, are at an absolute low and recovering from the heartbreak in Milan is easier said than done.

From being two minutes away from the UCL final to crashing out in heartbreaking fashion, the Catalans are broken on the inside.

However, they must face Real Madrid tomorrow at Montjuic in a Clasico that may well decide the title race.

A win for Barcelona over their arch-rivals will all but win them the title, but a defeat will bring Carlo Ancelotti’s men to within one point with three games to go.

Ancelotti talks on Barcelona

Speaking to the media ahead of what seems set to be his final Clasico as the manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti was asked to give his two cents on the game that lay ahead and what one can expect from the same.

His response, in many ways, was overly proud for a manager who has lost thrice in three games to Barcelona this season.

“I have the same feelings as always. It’s always special, we want to beat Barcelona,” said Ancelotti.

“It’s special, the last Clasico of the season because Barça are not going to the Club World Cup,” he added, possibly subtly mocking the Catalans.

He was then asked about Barcelona’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Inter Milan which crushed hearts worldwide, especially after how the Blaugrana were the better team throughout.

“I’m not relieved by the elimination of Barça. It was a great game, very competitive. Inter will reach the final, we have to congratulate him, but Barça was very close,” he began.

He then added that Barcelona equally deserved to be the final, stating,

“If they had qualified, no one would have been able to say anything. The final will be very even.”
