Arsenal’s search for a marquee striker has once again led them to Serie A, with Dusan Vlahovic firmly back on the radar. The Juventus forward is reportedly available this summer, and Mikel Arteta’s side are prepared to explore a deal in the region of €60 million to bring the Serbian to north London.
At just 24, Vlahovic still holds considerable value in the European market, despite a mixed campaign in Turin. Juventus, aware of his fluctuating form and growing interest across Europe, are now willing to entertain offers. The Bianconeri are aiming to reshape their squad and view the potential sale of Vlahovic as both a financial opportunity and a sporting reset.
According to sources in Italy, a deal could be struck between €50 and €60 million – a fee that Arsenal can comfortably meet. The Gunners’ recruitment team are said to be assessing options to elevate their attacking output next season and consider Vlahovic a viable upgrade with Premier League potential.
Mikel Arteta sees Vlahovic as a player who could provide a transformative presence up front. Arsenal have been competitive in the Premier League title race but often lacked a dominant central figure to convert pressure into goals. With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah delivering inconsistent returns, the focus has shifted toward acquiring a more clinical option.
“Vlahovic can offer the much-needed quality boost his team needs to compete for success in England and Europe,” sources close to Arsenal’s hierarchy suggest. The Spanish manager is said to be heavily involved in the pursuit and views the Serbian’s blend of physicality and technical ability as an ideal fit for the Premier League.
Arsenal are not alone in monitoring the situation. Aston Villa, who are enjoying a resurgence under Unai Emery, are also believed to be exploring the market for a high-profile striker. Vlahovic fits the profile of player who could spearhead a European campaign, and Villa’s ambition in recent transfer windows suggests they won’t shy away from bold moves.
While Arsenal may hold the advantage in terms of profile and Champions League allure, Villa’s involvement could complicate matters should they formalise their interest with a bid. However, as of now, Arsenal appear to be leading the race.
For Juventus, Vlahovic’s sale represents a pivotal financial play. The Turin giants are seeking to balance their books and reshape their squad under the next managerial project. Although Vlahovic was seen as a cornerstone signing when he joined from Fiorentina, his time at the Allianz Stadium has not delivered the expected trajectory.
“Despite being one of the most promising players, his performance has raised doubts among the sporting management, who have already made it clear that they will listen to offers for him this summer.” That stance significantly strengthens Arsenal’s position, knowing Juventus are not standing firm on a key asset.
With the transfer window approaching and interest mounting, Vlahovic’s next move could define not just his career but also the title ambitions of his next club. Arsenal see him as the final piece in their evolving project — and if the conditions align, they will be ready to strike.
