Ferran Torres is on track to post the best goal-tally of his career this season, having netted 11 goals from 29 matches in all competitions for Barcelona, in addition to three assists.
The 25-year-old’s highest goal-tally came with Manchester City when he netted 13 times in 2020/21. With plenty of games left this season, the Spaniard appears set to eclipse that total and prove his worth to the team, despite not being a regular starter under Hansi Flick.
However, his role within the squad has also led to speculations over his future, with clubs considering making a move in the summer by offering more minutes.
One such club who are showing an interest in Ferran Torres heading into the summer window are Aston Villa, reports Fichajes.
With Monchi and Unai Emery leading their sporting project, Villa have shown ambition in the transfer market and are actively looking for reinforcements to continue competing at the highest level in English football.

Torres’ ability to play in multiple attacking positions and prior Premier League experience with Manchester City make him an ideal target for the Birmingham-based outfit.
As mentioned earlier, despite gaining more prominence in recent months, Ferran remains a rotational option in Flick’s team and does not have an undisputed starting role.
The opportunity to return to the Premier League could thus be appealing to the Spanish forward. At Aston Villa, he would have the chance to take on a more prominent role in a team aiming to establish itself among England’s top sides.
As such, his entourage has not ruled out a move if the offer and project are compelling.
Barcelona, for their part, have yet to make a definitive decision regarding Torres’ future. In case of a departure, though, they will demand at least €40 million for the forward.
