Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán as they look to secure a promising long-term addition to their attack.

Journalist Ben Jacobs highlighted PSG’s interest in the Colombian striker but noted a key obstacle: Aston Villa’s £80 million valuation. This price tag reflects Durán’s strong performances and his recent contract extension.

Villa are said to be reluctant to part ways with Durán unless a significant offer arrives, while PSG reportedly value him at around £55 million, leaving a noticeable gap in negotiations. Other clubs are also monitoring the situation.

According to Jacobs, Villa recently rejected a £57 million bid from West Ham—their second offer this window—as they continue to hold out for a fee closer to £85 million (€100 million).

On Wednesday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Jhon Durán is set to join Al Nassr. Aston Villa will receive a €77 million fixed fee plus add-ons, with Durán agreeing to a long-term contract. His medical is scheduled for Thursday, after which he will travel to Saudi Arabia.

Recently, former Man United and Blackburn scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Aston Villa should sell the Colombian if a deal makes sense for the Premier League club.

“Emery might see that and think, if they have a chance to get a fee that works for the club, they would be willing to let him go elsewhere. If they can get good money for him, I think it’ll happen.

“When you’ve got teams like Real Madrid and PSG sniffing around, I think that’s always a distraction. But when you take into account the issues we’ve spoken about before in terms of what he’s like on the training ground, I expect he’s considering moving on.

“It will need to be a deal that’s right for Villa, of course, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him go.”
