The shortlist of nominees for Player of the Month at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid has on Monday been unveiled online.

And the list features players from across a variety of positions in Diego Simeone’s squad.

Atlético, as a collective, enjoyed another solid month in January, racking up five wins and a draw from their seven outings across all competitions.

A number of players shone bright over the course of this stretch, with the five standout performers having on Monday secured nominations for the Player of the Month prize as a result.

As showcased below, up for the award are the quintet of Rodrigo De Paul, Julián Alvarez, Giuliano Simeone, Samuel Lino, and Clément Lenglet.

Turning attentions back towards the road ahead, Atlético will mark their return to action this coming weekend, when the Rojiblancos play host to Celta Vigo in a La Liga clash.

After a 1-1 draw with arch rivals Real in the Madrid Derby on Saturday, Diego Simeone’s side remain 2nd in the table, a point back of Los Blancos, and a point clear of Barcelona.
