Banca di Bologna alongside Bologna as the Club’s Official Banking Partner

This morning, a press conference was held at the Oratorio di San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini to present Bologna’s partnership with Banca di Bologna, the Club’s new Banking Partner. Enzo Mengoli, President of Banca di Bologna, and Claudio Fenucci, Bologna’s CEO, both took part.

“Sempre Bologna nel cuore. La tua Città, la tua Squadra, la tua Banca” (“Bologna always in your heart. Your City, Your Team. Your Bank”). With these words, Banca di Bologna, together with Bologna Football Club 1909, announced the renewal of a partnership for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons. The agreement sees Banca di Bologna take on the role of Banking Partner and sponsor within a programme rich in initiatives aimed at the entire community, further strengthening a commitment to the local area and addressing issues such as social responsibility, solidarity, prevention, education, inclusion, environmental respect, and the promotion of the city’s outstanding assets.

At the heart of the partnership project is a pledge to support the growth of talent in male and female youth teams, combining this with a series of activities open to the entire Bologna community.

These are the initiatives that will be put in place in the coming months thanks to the collaboration between Banca di Bologna and Bologna FC 1909:

In collaboration with Komen Comitato Emilia Romagna, meetings will be organised to make women under 40 aware of the risks of breast cancer and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The project will then be extended to women under 40 who are employees and collaborators of Bologna and Banca di Bologna.
Support will be given to ‘BFC SENZA BARRIERE’ (‘BFC WITHOUT BARRIERS’), a project aimed at promoting sports practice through football, a team sport and a tool for the development of autonomy and improving social inclusion and integration for children and young people with disabilities.
Scholarships will be established to reward the sporting and academic achievements of young players within the Bologna FC youth sector, with the goal of supporting their development and strengthening the bond between the city and the Club’s youth teams. This initiative expands on Banca di Bologna’s long-standing project of rewarding outstanding students (high school graduates, university graduates, and PhD candidates) from the local area.
A project will be launched to plant new trees in the area to combat air pollution, climate change and biodiversity loss. Young male and female Bologna players will take part in this environmental initiative.
Special events will be organised for the Rossoblù “Kids Club” and “Senior Club” communities to engage Bologna FC supporters of all ages – from young children to seniors – with values relating to sport, teamwork and culture.
Guided tours of Bologna’s sports and cultural heritage sites, including the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara and the Oratorio dei Fiorentini, will be arranged so as to offer cultural experiences for customers and members of Banca di Bologna and for Rossoblù fans.
550 Bologna FC players from the youth and women’s sectors, as well as those involved in grassroots football and football school activities, will participate in solidarity-related events.
Educational activities will be organised to help Rossoblù youngsters acquire skills for their future. Led by experts from Banca di Bologna, they will be aimed at improving the financial literacy and responsibility of young players in the Club’s youth sector.
