La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday announced some altogether timely positive personnel news in the club’s first-team squad.
This comes amid confirmation that Dani Olmo has been cleared for a return to competitive action.
Olmo has for his part been sidelined since late last month, owing to a muscular injury suffered en route to the Blaugrana’s 3-0 La Liga downing of Osasuna.
After being spotted back in group training, the hope was that the Spanish international would be given the medical green light in time to face Leganés this weekend.
This, in the end, did not prove to be the case.
As alluded to above, though, a day on, the news which all of a Barcelona persuasion were so eagerly awaiting was finally forthcoming.
As per a statement across the Catalans’ website and social media platforms:
‘Good news! Dani Olmo passed fit and available.’
Olmo, in turn, is expected to play at least some part in Barca’s Champions League quarter-final 2nd-leg meeting with Borussia Dortmund this coming Tuesday.
