There is no doubt that the most pressing issue that FC Barcelona have on their hands right now is the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga. The Catalans have only two days left to solve this issue, and, despite the positive developments of yesterday, they are still not in a position to get this duo registered yet.
Thus, the Blaugranes are still working on arriving at the best possible formula to generate the required funds, and as things stand, the full sale of VIP seats seems to be the option that the club has taken to solve its current sporting issues.
As already reported, once fully sold, these VIP seats can bring in around €120 million, which would not only be enough to get Olmo and Victor registered, but also enough to get Barcelona back to the 1:1 rule.
Furthermore, according to SPORT, two fan-favorite players who can benefit from this possible situation are Pedri and Gavi, with whom the Blaugrana club has been negotiating contract renewals for quite some time now.
Their current contracts with Barcelona go till 2026, but the Catalans have been unable to finalize their new contracts that will extend their stay at the club mainly because of their FFP problems, which have also kept them from registering Olmo and Victor.
But even if the expected income is obtained, the Blaugranes will ideally wait till June to finalize the renewals of Pedri and Gavi to avoid any problems. Once signed, now or at the end of this season, these new contracts will keep the duo associated with Barcelona till 2030.
Furthermore, this extra income can also open the possibility of a new reinforcement for Hansi Flick in the winter window, even though Barcelona also have other contract renewal negotiations going on, most notably with Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong, two other players whose contracts are ending in 2026 but whose renewal negotiations are proving to be more complicated.
