Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has suffered a ligament injury in his right knee, but there is a positive development regarding his recovery.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the injury does not require surgery, which means the young Barcelona midfielder has a chance of returning to action before the season ends.
While the setback has forced him to withdraw from the Spanish national team squad, the club remains optimistic about his recovery timeline.
Casado sustained the injury during Barcelona’s match at the Metropolitano, following a strong challenge from Antoine Griezmann.
Medical tests have since confirmed that although the ligament is damaged, it is not a complete tear.
As a result, the club’s medical staff have opted for a non-surgical approach, which significantly improves his chances of featuring in the final weeks of the campaign.

With a conservative treatment plan in place, Casado’s recovery period is expected to be around two months. This timeline means that if everything goes smoothly, he could be available for selection in the closing stages of the season.
Barcelona’s medical team will monitor his progress closely, but the hope is that he will be fit in time for key fixtures in May.
If Barcelona reach the Champions League final, scheduled to take place in Munich on 31 May, Casado could potentially make the squad.
Additionally, he might recover in time to feature in the final week of La Liga when Barcelona take on Athletic Bilbao on 24 or 25 May.
While the injury is undoubtedly a setback for the young midfielder, the fact that surgery is not required is a relief for both the player and the club.
Now, his focus will be on rehabilitation and regaining full fitness in time to contribute before the season concludes.
