Barcelona star labels surprise Real Madrid attacker ‘one of the best I’ve ever seen’ | OneFootball

Barcelona star Raphinha has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for a member of the attacking ranks at arch rivals Real Madrid.

The player in question? Rodrygo.

Frontman Rodrygo has of course come in for widespread criticism on the part of the Real Madrid faithful of late.

En route to Los Blancos being sent packing from the Champions League, and falling to defeat in the finale of the Copa del Rey, the Brazilian struggled to make any sort of telling impact.

Perfectly summing up Rodrygo’s recent woes is the fact that the versatile attacker has managed just a solitary goal in his latest 24 appearances for club and country.

One individual, though, evidently of the opinion that Rodrygo will soon turn things around is fellow countryman Raphinha.

Speaking during an interview with journalist Isabela Pagliari, as cited by Marca, this week, wide-man Raphinha was drawn on the candidates for the next Ballon d’Or.

And the Barcelona standout was quick to highlight Rodrygo’s talents in his response, explaining:

“Rodrygo should be considered. For me, he is an amazing player, a phenomenon, and out of the ordinary. One of the best I have seen. He is not appreciated as he should be, and this is unfair in my opinion.”
