Barcelona take a commanding lead into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Borussia Dortmund tonight.
The Spanish side thrashed Dortmund in the first encounter last week, as goals from Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal led to a 4-0 win.
Raphinha’s goal in the first leg extended his lead as the Champions League’s leading scorer (12), though teammate Lewandowski is just one goal behind.
Barcelona are bidding to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2018/19. Inter Milan or Bayern Munich await in the last four.
Dortmund bounce back from last week’s humbling with a spirited performance to draw 2-2 with Bayern Munich at the weekend. Max Beier and Waldemar Anton scored the goals in an entertaining Der Klassiker clash at the Allianz Arena.
Alejandro Balde has been ruled out of the tie with the left-back facing a several weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury sustained at the weekend.
Dani Olmo is fit to return from an adductor issue and has been included in the travelling squad. Marc Bernal (knee), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (knee) and Marc Casado (knee) will not feature again this season.
Barcelona predicted XI: Szczesny; Kounde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Martin; Pedri, De Jong, Lopez; Yamal, Raphinha; Lewandowski.
Borussia Dortmund host Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday April 15th 2025. Kick-off in Germany is 20:00 GMT.
