Lazio coach Marco Baroni feels ‘strengthened, but also incredibly disappointed’ following a 2-0 loss against Inter on Tuesday.
The Biancocelesti have been eliminated from the Coppa Italia, suffering a 2-0 loss against Inter at San Siro.
“We are sorry, Inter went through. What was missing in our performance was the goal,” Baroni told Sport Mediaset via TMW.
“We need to stay calm and keep looking for it, with greater conviction in the final third.
“We always look ahead, focusing on work and the growth of our players. We know our path, and we are confident that we can compete until the very end. We must do it for ourselves and for our fans. We won’t give up an inch.”

Lazio’s top goal scorer Valentin Castellanos missed the game with an injury and will remain out of action for a few more weeks.
“Castellanos is a strong player; we know what he has given us and what he will bring when he returns,” said Baroni.
“We need to work with those who are here and give confidence to the young players, who are feeling the weight of having made an important leap.
“I have great faith in them and in the rest of the team, we all need to help each other. I leave this match feeling strengthened, but also incredibly disappointed because we really wanted to go through. We will bounce back, as we always have.”
