According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are monitoring AFC Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen.
It is understood that Der Rekordmeister have been following the Spaniard’s progress in the Premier League since making the move away from Juventus in the summer.
The 19-year-old has played a key role in Bournemouth’s success this season, with the Cherries sitting seventh in the English top flight, having not tasted defeat since November.
However, Bayern are not the only side showing interest in Huijsen, who is currently one of the most in-demand youngsters in European football.
Chelsea are the latest side to make contact with Bournemouth, with the Blues eager to lure the defender to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
As stated in the report, while Bournemouth would like to keep Huijsen on the south coast, a release clause is set to become active in Huijsen’s contract at the end of the season.
This would ensure that the Cherries would have no say in whether the 19-year-old stays at the club.
Bayern are one of the sides ready to activate the clause, but as of yet, it is unknown whether the fee would be within Der Rekordmeister’s valuation of Huijsen.
