Bayern Munich put on a ruthless display against TSG Hoffenheim as they put five goals past them and comfortably secured three points. The game was a mismatch right from the start as the home side scored twice in the first twelve minutes. Harry Kane, continued his penalty-scoring streak as added the third for Bayern before going into half-time.
The second half looked like a training session for Bayern as they continued to assert dominance over a struggling Hoffenheim. Neuer was forced into action a couple of times but for the large parts of the game, Bayern’s defense dealt with the opposition very well and reduced their chances to a minimum. With two more goals from Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry, the game ended with a 5–0 scoreline and Bayern reclaiming their 4-point lead at the summit of the Bundesliga table.
Let’s have a look at the player ratings from the victorious home side.
Manuel Neuer - 8/10
Had little to do in the first half but was tested a couple of times in the second half. His distribution was top-notch, as usual.
Alphonso Davies - 8/10
Another massive showing from the Canadian as he continues his good run of form. Quickness in recovering the ball gave Hoffenheim players a horrible time.
Eric Dier - 8.5/10
One of his best performances in the Bayern shirt and was especially impressive with his attacking contribution. made the most passes into the final third (16) of any player on the field.
Dayot Upamecano- 8/10
The French center-back didn’t put a foot wrong all game. His robustness and composure were key to Bayern's watertight defensive showing.
Raphaël Guerreiro - 9/10
