La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been contacted by the brass at Beşiktaş, over a potential late-window transfer.
That’s according to Spanish football insider Matteo Moretto, who confirms that the contact in question came via Besiktas, regarding the potential signing of Ansu Fati.
Attacker Ansu has of course been hotly tipped for a Barcelona exit throughout the January transfer window to date.
This comes with the 22-year-old finding himself well down the attacking pecking order in Hansi Flick’s star-studded Blaugrana squad.
A whole host of clubs have expressed an interest in a deal for Ansu, albeit with none as of yet having managed to find an agreement with the player himself.
As alluded to above, though, this week, another suitor have positioned themselves in the fray for a deal.
As per a report from Relevo’s Matteo Moretto:
‘In the last few hours, Beşiktaş has been in direct contact with Jorge Mendes for Ansu Fati.’
It is also reiterated that Ansu’s preference remains to stay put in Catalunya, though, meaning the Beşiktaş board have their work cut out for them in convincing the winger of the merits of a move to Turkey.
