Riccardo Orsolini was distraught when limping off during Bologna’s Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund and will be out for around a month.
The winger had been in the starting XI at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Tuesday evening, but pulled a muscle in his right thigh and was in tears when hobbling away during the first half.
A statement from the club medical staff today confirmed that Orsolini has sustained a Grade I lesion to the femoral bicep in his right thigh.
The same announcement also confirms that he is expected to be out of action for circa 3-4 weeks.

Bologna had been losing 1-0 to an early Serhou Guirassy penalty when they completed the comeback with two goals in 60 seconds from Thijs Dallinga and Samuel Iling-Junior.
Although it was their first victory of the campaign, it was not enough to prevent the team being mathematically excluded from the race to qualify for the play-offs.
