According to Patrick Berger, Borussia Dortmund head coach Nuri Şahin has expressed his transfer targets internally at the club.
As previously reported, BvB are keeping tabs on Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, but as it stands, talks with the Premier League champions are not advanced.
It is understood that Die Schwarzgelben are hoping to lure a central midfielder to the club, with Şahin prioritising the signing of a number eight, someone who can link up the play in Dortmund’s midfield.
As stated in the report, Petar Sučić, Martin Baturina, and Andrija Maksimović are all players on Dortmund’s radar.
Nevertheless, the target that may excite BvB fans the most is that of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.
The brother of Jude Bellingham, who Dortmund sold for €113 million to Real Madrid in July 2023, has been heavily linked with a move to the Westfalenstadion.
The Black Cats are hopeful of securing €25 million for the midfielder this summer but remain reluctant to let him leave in January as they look to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
Regardless, BvB will keep monitoring the 19-year-old as the competition for his signature continues to rise.
As well as this, it is believed that Şahin is still on the hunt for a left-back, but as of yet, it is unknown who BvB will target.
