When asked if he was worried that the striker is experiencing a goal drought, having not netted since the win over Ross County at the end of November, Rodgers said that the player is still contributing despite not scoring. “My main worry tonight is from a defensive perspective. That’s the concern for tonight.
“It’s always difficult to be a striker because they want to score goals. We all want them to score. If they’re pressing and working and running then we’re hopeful that other players will contribute.
“Tonight was more about the defending than the attacking.”
Idah had a chance to score for Celtic’s second but the ball ricocheted between the Irishman and compatriot Trevor Carson in the Dundee net to fall favourably for Yang.

Rodgers was asked by BBC Scotland about Idah’s decision to go up the tunnel after being substituted but the manager quickly set the record straight, dispelling any suggestion of an issue and shutting down the hack looking to cause trouble.
“No, he went to get something warmer. Did you see him come back? He came back.”
Idah will be hoping to get back amongst the goals this weekend as Celtic face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park. The big guy desperately needs a goal to kick-start his season.
