Brighton submit offer for Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra | OneFootball

Brighton and Hove Albion have submitted an oral offer of €23m for RC Strasbourg Alsace midfielder Habib Diarra (21), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Diarra is a key component of this Strasbourg side, as demonstrated by his status as captain, whilst he has also already made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and registering two assists for Liam Rosenior’s side. However, he has become the subject of considerable interest.

As reported by L’Équipe earlier this month, AC Milan hold an interest in the Senegalese midfielder, with the publication also alluding to interest from unnamed Premier League sides.

Brighton is clearly one of those teams and they have come into contact with BlueCo in order to scope out a deal. An oral bid, worth €23m, has even been submitted by Brighton. However, Les Alsaciens are holding out for a more considerable offer for a player that they consider focal to their project.
