Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Osasuna at El Sadar has generated immense controversy, not just because of Jude Bellingham’s red card but also due to the refereeing decisions that left both teams frustrated.

Following Carlo Ancelotti’s post-match comments, Osasuna’s coach, Vicente Moreno, also shared his thoughts on the match.

Vicente Moreno on the Real Madrid game

First up, Moreno talked about the Bellingham red card, which came abruptly, when the Real Madrid midfielder was trying to protest against a decision.

“I asked, but they didn’t give me an answer, he says something and hence the red card,” Moreno said (h/t Diario AS), when asked about the Englishman’s sudden departure.

Despite having a numerical advantage, Osasuna could not secure the victory. Moreno, to that end, heaped praise on Real Madrid and their resolve.

“t’s Madrid and you can’t ignore it. When you think you have them, in any action, they don’t need to play well or badly, have a good day or a bad one, they beat you, even with one less player.

“You have to value the point, because of the opponent, although we always want more and we fall short. We wanted to win,” he said.

Asked about his conversation with the Real Madrid manager, the coach said: “We were talking about something more general than the specific play. I didn’t see what had happened and without the information, there is little to say.”

With tensions high due to Madrid’s continuous complaints about refereeing, the Osasuna coach admitted he stayed focused on his team’s performance.

“We are all focused on our own thing. I am focused on the field and what happens there, I am not paying attention to other things,” he concluded.

It is clear that the Osasuna coach doesn’t want to get involved into any controversy, knowing Real Madrid would fire back immediately. The Spaniard is rather happy with the point gained at El Sadar this weekend.
