Having qualified in superb style for the UEFA Youth League last 32 with third place in the league stage, we are in action again tomorrow at 14:00 CET. Daniel Beichler's side are to battle with Celtic at the Red Bull Football Academy for a spot in the last 16. Should the tie be level at the end of the regular 90 minutes, a penalty shoot-out will be required to determine the winner.
The Scottish side led by Stephen McManus, a former assistant of current Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou – finished the league stage in 17th following wins over Slovan Bratislava, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge. Striker Daniel Cummings was a star of the campaign, and like most of his Youth League team-mates plays for Celtic B, who are in the fifth-tier Scottish Lowland Football League, where they have just taken two wins in a row.
Our ambitious collective are aiming to go as far as in 2016/17, 2019/20 and 2021/22, when we reached at least the semi-final stage. We are keeping our focus on each step at a time, though....
After a month of preparing, we cannot wait for our first competitive match of the year and are ready for the knockout stages! We are facing opponents in Celtic who put in continually good performances in the league stage in the autumn, especially against Leipzig and Club Brugge. We will be well prepared, but also careful, as we know we are facing good and interesting opponents who offer classic Scottish properties like physicality, athleticism and robustness, but can also play very good football. We are placing our focus mainly on our own game, however, as we are certain that we can show over 90 minutes that we are the better side.

All 425 tickets for the encounter at the Red Bull Football Academy have been taken. As usual, we are offering a free live stream of the encounter.
There are no public parking spaces available at the academy. Access is only via a free shuttle bus from the Red Bull Arena stadium car park. The buses depart from the Kaindlstraße at the stadium, and travel directly to the academy and back after the match. Departure times:
Both shuttle buses are to return to the stadium shortly after the end of the match.
We recommend travelling by bicycle. The building of the new stand has also resulted in additional bicycle parking at the academy entrance.
