Chelsea & Arsenal to face stiff competition from Juventus for Victor Osimhen | OneFootball

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is set to be the subject of an intense transfer tug-of-war this summer with clubs across Europe weighing up a summer move.

The Nigerian striker has previously expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, leaving the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal on red alert.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray after his relationship with the Napoli top brass hit the buffers ahead of the previous summer transfer window.

Chelsea were locked in talks to sign the Nigeria international on deadline day but couldn’t get a deal over the line before the transfer window closed.

Having been frozen out of the Napoli squad, Osimhen opted to join Gala with hopes of landing a high-profile summer move and his numbers have drawn the attention of half the clubs across the continent.

The 26-year-old striker is spearheading Gala’s Super Lig title bid with 20 goals and four assists in 22 league games.

He also bagged six goals and an assist in seven Europa League games before Gala suffered a 6-3 aggregate defeat against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar to bow out in the play-offs.

Chelsea are in desperate need of a prolific striker, and club legend John Mikel Obi is pushing for his former employers to sign Osimhen.

The same can be said about Arsenal, who have seen their Premier League title dreams fade into despair without a prolific number nine leading the line.

With Juventus in the fray, the London duo need to step up their efforts to sign Osimhen. The Serie A giants are willing to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic and Randal Kolo Muani to fund the move.
