Chelsea should have few issues reaching the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon when they host struggling League Two side Morecambe.

The fourth tier outfit currently sit 23rd at the halfway point of the season and could be handed a bruising defeat at Stamford Bridge. Their last and only trip to face Chelsea ended in a 4-0 loss during the FA Cup third round in 2020/21.

Enzo Maresca will use this weekend's fixture as an opportunity to rest and rotate, with Chelsea's second-string XI more than capable of obliterating Morecambe. The Italian is likely to field a lineup similar to that he's used in the Conference League, with the likes of Marc Guiu, Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong among the youngsters who could be served further opportunities.

Here is how Chelsea could line up.

GK: Filip Jorgensen - Robert Sanchez remains first-choice despite some iffy performances this season, with Jorgensen largely restricted to outings in the cup competitions. The summer signing will be expecting a quiet afternoon against Morecambe.

RB: Josh Acheampong - Acheampong featured at centre-back against Crystal Palace and impressed during the 1-1 draw. He's likely to feature again this weekend and could play in his preferred right-back role.

CB: Axel Disasi - The French defender has rarely reassured Chelsea supporters since arriving in England and Acheampong was preferred to him at centre-back last time out. Disasi doesn't appear to have a long-term future under Maresca.

CB: Tosin Adarabioyo - The former Fulham centre-back hasn't made the most convincing start since moving across west London but should be handed a start as Chelsea rotate. Injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana only increase his chances of featuring.

LB: Renato Veiga - Veiga's versatility has come in handy this term and the 21-year-old will likely be utilised at left-back as Ben Chilwell looks to engineer a January transfer.

DM: Sam Rak-Sakyi - The young midfielder has now made a handful of Conference League appearances in and the likely absence of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could hand him a second start for the Blues.

DM: Romeo Lavia - With a January exit on the cards for Cesare Casadei, Lavia may start at the base of midfield even if it's just to ensure Chelsea get into a comfortable position.

RW: Noni Madueke - Pedro Neto started against Palace as Madueke was relegated to the bench. The Englishman has been hit-and-miss this season, but will be excited by the prospect of punishing a leaky League Two defence.

AM: Christopher Nkunku - Nkunku didn't make a significant impact against Ipswich Town on his last Premier League start and Nicolas Jackson remains ahead of him in the pecking order. A good chance here to prove to Maresca he's got what it takes to play as a #10.

LW: Tyrique George - The 18-year-old has been readily used in Europe and has started three of the last four Conference League outings.

ST: Marc Guiu - Having impressed on his appearances in the cup competitions, Guiu will be given another shot at leading the Chelsea line. The imposing young striker has scored six in 11 matches for the Blues.
