A video released by DAZN has picked up on some things that might have been missed during AC Milan’s derby win against Inter thanks to their close-up cameras.

The Bordocam of DAZN (via Radio Rossonera, unfortunately not available to those outside Italy) begins by showing Tammy Abraham taking kick-off and then motivating his team-mates, something that would set the tone.

Paulo Fonseca surprised everyone by fielding four forwards and in the opening minutes Rafael Leao can me seen telling Christian Pulisic that they have to stay close to Alvaro Morata and Abraham during Inter’s build-up.

What the Rossoneri have been criticised for not having at the start of the season was immediately evident: personality, communication and composure. The DAZN clip outlines this: ‘You can see Fofana making the gesture to Gabbia of calm, he would talk a lot during the match to the defender’.

On the other hand, you can perceive a lot of nervousness on the part of Inter as the players do not accept each other’s mistakes. Nicolo Barella above all looked a frustrated figure, often flapping his hands when things didn’t go to plan.

Milan players meanwhile accepted the mistakes and the body language was always positive. Lautaro got very agitated after the penalty awarded to Milan which was overturned by VAR, and then there was some interesting background before the winner.

A few minutes before the decisive header from the free-kick Gabbia was complaining about cramps, but he gave the ok to Fonseca to stay on the pitch. Thus the substitution of Pavlovic was delayed, and Milan won 2-1 thanks to Gabbia.
