Former Roma striker Marco Borriello released an interview to Il Messaggero in which he weighed in on Roma’s present and future.
“De Rossi? I’m sorry for what happened, Daniele is a friend of mine,” said Borriello.
“But when you question yourself, certain misadventures can happen. Maybe the ways and times were wrong, but you have to take certain things into account.”
“The American owners evidently had different strategies, which I didn’t quite understand,” he added.
“Ranieri? He is a man who makes himself loved. An old-fashioned, serious man, I see him well as a technical coordinator.”
“In the future I dream for Roma a return of De Rossi with him as manager, because he is someone who always knows what to do, even how to use language.”
