The rumours about Joao Felix being unhappy at Chelsea because of a lack of game time started a couple of weeks ago and haven’t eased off despite him getting a start on Monday night in the loss to Ipswich.
The Portugal international arrived in the summer but has so far only regularly seen action in the cup competitions as Enzo Maresca continues to prefer other options in the Premier League.
Felix took a wage cut to make the £42m move to Chelsea in the summer – although he’s apparently still on £170,000 a week.
That makes him hard to move on, even if we wanted to. For now, the attacking midfielder is probably just pretty happy to be out of his long-running nightmare at Atletico Madrid, and he will have no problem putting up with a season of struggling for first team minutes.
If he’s in the same position a year from now, we will start to take these concerns much more seriously.

An exclusive from GiveMeSport today reported that Felix and Chelsea are in no rush to change things up – both will wait until the summer to assess how things are going.
