Fenerbahce are said to be in negotiations with Milan for defender Strahinja Pavlovic, who dropped down the pecking order after a strong start.

The 23-year-old was purchased from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for €18m and has made 10 Serie A appearances, three in the Champions League and one for the Coppa Italia.

He also scored a goal in the dramatic 2-2 draw with Lazio in August.

However, having been a regular in the squad for the first few months, Pavlovic fell down the ranking and his last Serie A start was in November.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Relevo and MilanNews.it, Fenerbahce have been pushing for several days to get a deal done on the tall central defender.

Despite his young age, he already has 43 senior caps for Serbia, in which he scored four goals.

The asking price is going to be high if Milan want to make back their money, having invested so heavily in the player only a few months ago.

Calciomercato.com argue that the intention is to keep the defender, especially after Malick Thiaw’s injury.
