Inter Milan superstar Marcus Thuram opened up on his formidable attacking alliance with Lautaro Martinez.

Speaking to Cronache di Spogliatoio via FCInterNews, Thuram discussed the famous ‘Thu-La’ partnership.

Marcus Thuram has become a stalwart for Inter since joining the club from Borussia Monchengladbach on a Bosman deal in 2023.

Indeed, he was an influential part of the club’s remarkable run to a 20th Serie A title last term.

Thuram and Lautaro Martinez dominated Italy’s top flight in 2023/24, leading Inter to a resounding domestic success.

Despite El Toro’s underwhelming form this season, the Frenchman remains a focal point in the final third.

With 13 goals, he’s the club’s most prolific player in Serie A.

However, it’s worth noting he has only netted once in 2025 as injuries continue to hinder his momentum.

There’s a chance he could miss Genoa’s visit to Giuseppe Meazza this weekend due to an ankle problem.

Meanwhile, Martinez will lead the line, seeking his first goal in five Serie A outings.

Much credit goes to Thuram, who boasts 13 goals and four assists.

“For me, it’s easier to play with two strikers, especially if Lautaro Martínez is there,” Thuram said.

“I don’t know if I would have done so well with another striker, but with him, I do.

“I don’t do exactly what I want, but he enjoys doing things I don’t do, and I do things he doesn’t do.

Meanwhile, Thuram has struggled to translate his outstanding club form to the national team.

“Yes, I struggled a bit more because it’s a different formation, a different tactic,” he confessed. “It’s not like at Inter.”
