Gary Neville has made his final prediction on who will finish in the Premier League top five, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest set for a final-day showdown.

There are just three remaining Champions League qualification spots and just one point separates Newcastle in third, on 66 points, and Nottingham Forest in seventh, on 65 points.

City, in sixth on 65 points, have a game in hand on their rivals as they face Bournemouth on Tuesday evening. Should they win that, they will likely only need a point away at Fulham on the final day to finish in the top five.

Newcastle know that a win over Everton on Sunday will be enough, while the real clash comes at the County Ground as Nottingham Forest host Chelsea. Both need to win to be sure of a top-five finish, and even that may not be enough for Forest.

I think Forest might just hamper Chelsea next weekend

"That was a really important win for Nottingham Forest," Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast.

"They’re still up against it a little bit and they’ve got a big game coming up next weekend. Obviously Man City still have two games but they’re two difficult games actually.

"Bournemouth are a tasty opposition and then they’ve got Fulham on the final day. City will be flat after losing the cup final. They need to get themselves back up for those games and finish the job off.

"There’s a lot to play for in the next week and a lot of money at stake.

"At the moment I think Man City will just get in there, I think Newcastle will get in there and I think Aston Villa might just sneak in.

"I think Forest might just hamper Chelsea next weekend and Aston Villa should win at Old Trafford, everyone is beating Man United at the minute."
